The successful candidate will be an experienced dentist possessing the necessary skill, patience, and tact required in the provision of dentistry for adults and children with additional needs. Experience in delivering care under conscious sedation and general anaesthesia is also required. Working within the Consultant led dental team, duties will include the treatment of children and adults with a range of additional needs encompassing physical, sensory, intellectual, mental, medical, emotional, or social impairment or disability, or a combination of these factors. The successful candidate will also be involved in supervising trainees and supporting the ongoing development of the wider dental team, as well as participating in the departmental audit programme. In addition, the successful candidate will assist the Community Dental Management Team with administration, planning, and development within the department and wider organization when required. BDS or equivalent qualification recognized by the GDC Full registration with the GDC Fellowship in Dental Surgery or Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery or equivalent A relevant Postgraduate qualification appropriate to Special Care Dentistry Immediate Life Support Skills Experience
