The Senior Sales Engineer will support and guide Sales Engineers while working with the Direct Sales and Alliance teams to provide subject matter expertise for our tax information reporting solutions. More specifically you will: Challenge bad sales processes and behaviours and establish and support best practices Maintain expert level understanding of functionality and technical architecture of our products Assist in the client discovery process to help uncover unforeseen challenges and ensure the proper offering is being proposed Guide the strategic efforts to conduct sales and solutions presentations for clients of all sizes Develop and lead training sessions both within and outside the Sales Engineer department Assist Sales Engineers in designing and delivering customised solution demonstrations using Sovos SaaS solutions and services Serve as a subject matter expert surrounding the creation of RFP and RFI responses for prospective new clients Work closely with the on-boarding team ensuring a seamless handoff from sales to on-boarding for new clients Maintain and continually improve demonstration capabilities, conducting internal Sales department training, demo system props and proposal content Act with integrity and demonstrate ethical behaviour in all matters with all stakeholders Take full responsibility for ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction Demonstrate initiative, drive and determination to achieve results, success and growth Maintain a high level of energy, enthusiasm, engagement and commitment to action Demonstrate a high degree of self-awareness and commitment to personal development and learning What We Need From You

Minimum 4+ years of sales related experience Ability to be strategic towards business outcomes as well as manage and handle day-to-day details and deadlines Strong team orientation with a history of working collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Ability to manage multiple priorities (at times conflicting), remain focused under pressure and work extended hours as required Thorough knowledge of MS Office software including Excel, Word, & PowerPoint Well-developed business ethics and the ability to maintain a high level of discretion Self-motivated and strong drive to succeed Moderate travel required for client meetings, trade shows, and special projects including some international travel Ability to pass a background, drug and credit check Essential Job Functions: Interact effectively with teammates, colleagues and customers; Comprehend and communicate complex concepts; Concentrate, analyse and resolve complex problems; Utilise technology (phone systems, computer hardware and software applications) to fulfil work requirements What Does Sovos Offer You?
