Senior Sales Executive

to join our growing team at

Easyfairs . You will play a crucial role in driving the success of the

Antwerp XL (AXL) event , an annual exhibition launched in 2019 that brings together an international audience to network, learn, and excel in the

breakbulk and project cargo

sector.

As a key player in our sales team, your ability to communicate effectively and build lasting relationships within our community will be essential. The ideal candidate is someone who thrives on face-to-face and phone-based sales, exhibits adaptability, and demonstrates resilience. You’ll have a hands-on approach, a big-picture mindset, and a passion for delivering the best possible outcomes.

Key Responsibilities include:

Event Sponsorship & Exhibitor Sales : Drive sales of exhibition space, sponsorship packages, and event-related services to meet revenue targets.

Cultivate relationships with potential sponsors and exhibitors to secure their participation in events.

Client Relationship Management : Maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring a smooth process from initial contact to post-event follow-up.

Develop and manage long-term partnerships to enhance repeat business.

Lead Generation & Prospecting : Identify and qualify new business leads, targeting companies that align with the event’s audience and objectives.

Use various channels, including cold calling, networking events, and industry research, to build a robust sales pipeline.

Negotiation & Contract Management : Lead the negotiation of contracts with sponsors, exhibitors, and clients, ensuring agreements are mutually beneficial.

Manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to closing and contract delivery.

Collaboration with Event Teams : Work closely with event management, marketing, and operations teams to ensure client needs are met and aligned with event logistics and branding strategies.

Provide input to shape the event format, sponsorship packages, and exhibitor experiences based on client feedback.

Market & Competitor Analysis : Stay updated on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market demands to better position the event within the market.

Adjust sales approaches based on evolving market conditions and client needs.

Sales Target Achievement and Activity KPI’s : Consistently achieve or exceed sales targets for event sponsorships, exhibit space, and registrations.

Exceed daily call and activity rates.

Event Representation & Networking : Represent the company and events at industry conferences, exhibitions, and client meetings.

Actively network to expand professional contacts and explore new business opportunities for future events.

Sales Reporting & Forecasting : Regularly track sales performance, generate reports, and present forecasts to management.

Use CRM systems (Salesforce) to manage client data, sales progress, and event pipelines.

Post-Event Analysis & Client Feedback : Gather feedback from clients post-event to improve future offerings and build stronger relationships.

Collaborate with the events team to implement enhancements based on insights gained from participants and sponsors.

Skills, experience and attributes required are:

Minimum of 1 year's successful outbound b2b telesales & face to face or similar sales experience.

Fluent Dutch or Flemish speaker a high advantage.

High standards of communication.

Good organisational skills.

Ability to hit deadlines.

Can work under pressure and prioritise tasks.

Microsoft Office proficient.
