What we do: We’re the market leader in the UK fresh prepared food industry – supplying meals, salads, desserts, pizza and bread to leading grocery retailers including Tesco, M&S, Sainsbury’s and Waitrose. About the role: Ideally, you will have experience working in a food manufacturing environment and have successfully led teams in a fast-paced production setting. You will have a strong understanding of retailer expectations and how we meet them. As a great leader, you will be capable of inspiring and engaging your team, while fully understanding the demands and pressures of a factory environment. About you: Pro-actively manage Health & Safety Lead and drive standards of quality, food safety, hygiene and housekeeping within your area through Good Manufacturing Practice (G.M.P.) Manage performance of your teams Own the training & development of all levels of team including managers. Manage the NPD process within your area Challenge and introduce new KPIs to drive performance. Plan, organise and measure labour and material requirements Manage the communication process to ensure that the workforce in their area is well informed on relevant business news Support and encourage the Bakkavör values and a positive culture within your area, whilst fostering good employee relations Responsible for the recruitment of direct reports and involvement in all staff recruitment within your area Manage projects and drive change across all shifts What you’ll receive: As an equal opportunity employer, we’re committed to providing a safe and rewarding environment for you to thrive in.
