Senior Service Charge Officer
to join our Finance team. You'll be based from our
Wembley office , with the flexibility to combine home and office working 2 days per week. About the Role Reporting directly to the Service Charge Manager, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing service charge processes, ensuring accuracy in calculations, and leading a team of 2 direct reports. Key Responsibilities: Ensure accurate calculation of annual estimated service charges and timely production of demand notices in compliance with statutory requirements. Oversee the annual reconciliation of final service charge statements for leaseholders and tenants. Manage a team of two direct reports, providing guidance, support, and performance management. Develop and implement an annual service improvement plan in collaboration with the Service Charge Manager. Ensure compliance with all relevant legislative requirements, including the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985. Collaborate with internal teams to improve service charge processes and ensure transparency. What We're Looking For: Qualified by experience or part-qualified accountant with a solid understanding of accounting principles. Proficiency in financial accounting systems such as SUN, Vision, and NEC Housing (formerly Northgate). Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Word and Excel. Extensive knowledge of service charge regulations and best practices. Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
