We’re seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Simulation Software Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Simulation processes within Automotive Design & Development. This pivotal role requires a blend of expertise in Research and Development within computational & data science and engineering. What you’ll do

Design and develop scalable simulation software architectures that integrate CAE (FEA, CFD and MBS) processes and establish technical standards and best practices for simulation software development. Design and enhance simulation workflows for vehicle design and development and streamline processes to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability. Lead integration of state-of-the-art software technologies and AI methodologies into simulation tools and collaborate with AI and ML engineers to enhance simulation capabilities. Work closely with Vehicle Engineering teams to identify bottlenecks in current simulation workflows and propose solutions to improve efficiency by implementing automations to streamline simulation tasks. Oversee deployment of CAE workflows in High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments, manage scalability and performance tuning of simulation applications by collaborating with CAE engineers and HPC resource providers. Collaborate with UI designers and Front-End software engineers to create intuitive interfaces for simulation and 3D visualisation tools by ensuring that software solutions are user-friendly and meet the needs of the users. Lead the R&D and the rapid prototyping to evaluate new techniques that accelerate simulation throughput. Provide technical leadership and guidance and contribute to the upskilling and training of the Vehicle Engineering workforce in the domain of software development, scripting and AI. Who you are

Advanced degree, Master’s or PhD in Computational / Data Science. Extensive experience, 5 to 8 Years in simulation/model software development ideally within the automotive. Experience in system architecture and implementation for engineering process integration & automation. Proficiency in programming using Python, C/C++/Fortran, .NET. Proficiency in Simulation & CAE software including Optistruct, Hypermesh, Starccm, LSDyna, Oasis, ANSA, 3DS – Simulia. Good knowledge of cloud technologies and infrastructure on AWS and Azure. Good knowledge of software engineering: programming patterns, object-oriented, APIs, test-driven development, CI/CD, databases, webapps, data structures. Good knowledge of HPC environments and job scheduling. Knowledge of AI models & frameworks (transformers & stable diffusion) & machine learning techniques. Great communication and leadership abilities, problem-solving aptitude and ability to work collaboratively and cross-functionally. About Us
