Within this role, the post holder will be expected to assess patients, devise care plans, and implement the care. Provide advice and guidance to the multidisciplinary team and ensure all records and documentation are completed and relevant. The role involves managing staff, rotas, appraisals, recruitment and selection, resource control, and budgetary management for the area. This role involves the overall 24-hour responsibility for the department and therefore will require enhanced communication skills in order to deal with the broad range of issues involved in the day-to-day management of the service. First level Registered Nurse with the NMC Teaching / Mentorship Qualification Current Advanced Life Support Qualification Evidence of ongoing professional development Relevant Emergency Department experience at Band 6 Post-registration A&E course or equivalent study Knowledge
