Senior Site Engineer
Location: Ipswich, Suffolk
Hours: Monday - Friday 6:30am - 3:15pm with some rota'd hours at the weekend as required
Salary: £50,000 - £55,000
Benefits: 22 days holiday + 8 bank holidays, standard workplace pension, overtime paid at 1.25%, small friendly team.

We're working with a fantastic company in Ipswich that's looking for a Senior Site Engineer to join their small, friendly team. In this role, you'll lead the charge in maintaining and improving equipment performance, minimizing downtime, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met.
Our client is seeking an experienced engineer with a strong background in manufacturing, NVQ level 3 or time-served in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Duties to Include:
Perform planned and reactive maintenance on all site equipment. Collaborate with production teams to address maintenance issues promptly. Ensure compliance with health and safety policies. Maintain records for inspections, repairs, and certifications. Lead initiatives to reduce waste and inefficiencies. Manage service contracts and liaise with subcontractors.
Skills/Experience required: NVQ Level 3 or Time-Served in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering. 5+ years of experience in production or manufacturing environments. Strong communication and problem-solving skills. Ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings. Knowledge of safety protocols and maintenance systems.
