Your new company Your new company is a civil engineering and building contractor based in Lincolnshire, with over 50 years of experience in successfully delivering on projects across the region. This contractor’s portfolio includes healthcare, community, leisure & tourism, housing, education, and commercial buildings. Over this company’s lifespan, they have developed an enviable reputation and, due to ongoing works, they are now looking for a Senior Site Engineer to join their ranks.

Your new role Your new role will be as a Senior Site Engineer on a £36m housing project. You will be responsible for all aspects of engineering duties including setting out, managerial responsibilities, quality control, supervising subcontractors, HSEQ, progress reporting, measuring/ordering materials, managing labour, and reporting to the Contracts Manager.

As you are taking a senior role within the project, you will be expected to monitor and supervise work and ensure proper practice is taking place. You will be essential in the successful completion of this project, and you will work alongside the site manager to achieve project success.

What you'll need to succeed Previous site engineering experience and a qualification in a construction-related field will be essential for this role. Experience within the build sector and previous civil projects will be highly desirable. Technical knowledge of setting out duties as well as interpreting architectural drawings and then practically applying these drawings to the day-to-day operations on site will be required. Attention to detail will help you ensure the project is completed to an excellent standard. Proficient time management and organisational skills will help you day to day. You must have a valid CSCS/SMSTS card in order to be considered.
