Key Responsibilities – Site Engineering Manager / Site Head of Engineering
Leading the engineering technical agenda for the Site, including all the maintenance activities to improve line performance, using World Class Manufacturing (WCM) principles. Drive engineering performance improvements, lead projects, manage multi-million-pound budgets and lead your team of managers/engineers and a team of 30 plus. Responsible for setting the engineering strategy, leading engineering activities, maximising production through maintenance of site assets. Develop together with the factory management, ensuring that the productive capacity of the plant is optimised and improved for the ever-changing needs of the business. Implement an engineering maintenance strategy. Develop engineering skills through a structured people development programme. Integrate engineers and line operators into ‘one team’, maximising the engineering structure through autonomous maintenance techniques. Recruit, manage and motivate the team via coaching, appraisal, mentoring; setting and monitoring team targets. Create and execute maintenance and CAPEX budgets for a large flagship manufacturing site. Qualifications and Requirements – Site Engineering Manager / Site Head of Engineering
Experience of managing budgets. Experience of leading technical frontline maintenance and project teams. Track record of using advanced manufacturing techniques (e.g. WCM/TPM/Lean). HNC/HND within an engineering discipline minimum. Background in engineering management within a time-sensitive, 24/7 complex manufacturing organisation.
