Senior Engineer Main Contractor £80m Student Accommodation Scheme Based in Birmingham Permanent: up to £75,000 + Package We are currently searching for a Senior Site Manager to join one of the UK’s busiest Main Contractors. This company specialises in the residential sector and delivers high rise private residential, student accommodation and hotel schemes. As Senior Site Manager you will be responsible for the day-to-day site operation, reporting to a Project Manager. The role: Project Planning & Management: Develop and oversee project plans, timelines, and budgets. Site Supervision: Monitor daily site operations and supervise workers and subcontractors. Health & Safety Management: Ensure compliance with safety regulations and conduct safety briefings. Quality Control: Maintain construction quality standards through regular inspections. Budget Management: Track expenses and manage the project budget effectively. Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and support the construction team. Coordination: Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams for smooth workflow. Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers; provide progress reports. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential risks on-site. Problem Solving: Address and resolve construction challenges and issues promptly. Experience required: Previous experience as a Site/Senior Site Manager with a main contractor essential. Strong knowledge of all build stages from Groundworks through to handover.
