We have a brilliant opportunity for a Senior Site Manager to join a long-standing principal contractor who has been operating across the commercial, education, health care, MOD, and residential sectors for over a century. Covering both refurbishment and new build schemes on projects up to £20 million, this role has great scope for development due to the locality and complexity of the project.
About the Role
This principal contractor is currently seeking a Senior Site Manager to join their team for a commercial refurbishment project in Westminster. This project is approximately £6 million in value and involves elements of cut & carve. You will be a number two on site, reporting into a Contracts Manager and overseeing a Site Manager.
Responsibilities for the Senior Site Manager
The ideal candidate will have worked in the commercial construction sector before, preferably involving elements of refurbishment and/or cut & carve.
Experienced Senior Site Manager with the ability to drive a project forward with little supervision, demonstrating strong leadership by example to the site team and subcontractors.
Keeping the project on programme and within budget.
Ensuring Health & Safety compliance.
Implementing Quality Assurance processes.
Requirements for the Senior Site Manager
A motivated and driven individual who is looking to make an impact on a project.
Proven experience of working on similar projects within a comparable sector.
Experience with steel frame and refurbishment projects.
SMSTS certification.
CSCS card.
