has been a well-established large 5-star housebuilder since 2009, known for supplying high-quality homes for all generations. They have been awarded two large residential developments in Dorset and are looking to recruit a Senior Site Manager to act as number one on site. Reporting to a Contract Manager and managing a team consisting of an Assistant Site Manager, Tele-Hander Operator, Labourer and specialist subcontractors and materials suppliers. Your new role

is to act as the number one based on site with the responsibility of building two large housing developments located in the North of Dorset. Both schemes are in various stages of completion but have site set-ups and show rooms already established. Your role would be to work in a small collaborative team to manage the build program according to the design and specification, manage subcontractors, handle technical queries, quality control, quality assurance and take ownership of the house-building process from an early stage to hand over each unit. You will be required to take a proactive approach to mitigating risk, to build sequencing, and to overall quality on site. What you'll need to succeed

is previous stable work experience in volume house building for a national developer as a Senior Site Manager. You will have a track record of success in this field on both traditional and timber-framed house building systems. You will have a high level of communication, be hard-working, and be able to build relationships, customer service skills, IT literacy, be proficient in quality assurance and quality control. You will be well-organised and able to field technical enquiries across build stages and have a passion for house building. You will have the right to work in the UK and a UK Driving Licence. Due to the rural location of these sites, you will live in either Dorset, Somerset or Wiltshire. You will be a member of the Chartered Institute of Builders and/or qualified to NVQ level 5 in Construction Management, or a time-served tradesperson. You will have in-depth knowledge of all aspects of construction and housebuilding, and the relevant legislative requirements e.g. health and safety, NHBC requirements and Building Regulations and have considerable experience of the full range of construction trades. is a permanent offer of employment with a basic salary of £65,000 to 75,000 plus a package which includes a bonus and car / car allowance.
