Avocet Recruitment is working alongside a high-end, bespoke housing developer that requires a Senior Site Manager to oversee their 40-unit development in Oxford.

Key Accountabilities

Manage day-to-day Health and Safety as well as looking forward for mitigating future issues. Coordinate sub-contractors and suppliers to ensure the materials are on site to meet the build programme to allow the sub-contractors to meet our requirements. Ensure all stages are inspected by relevant professional bodies and follow up any reports of defects. Schedule all utilities including local authorities and warranty providers. Plan and monitor the performance of all phases of construction - implementation, ongoing performance through to practical completion and building handover of each plot. Maintain close relationships and communications with contractors and design team, including any management of unplanned events and risks, to agreed targets. Ensure build programming is adhered to including plot sequencing. Manage multiple sub-contractors on sites. Conduct contractor meetings during the project to review progress and quality on a weekly basis. Arrange meetings with partners, authorities, utilities, contractors, and suppliers as required. Deal with professional bodies like warranty and building control, Inspectors as well as dealing with Sub Contractors and Suppliers. Responsible for identification and mitigation of risk. Responsible for issuing fortnightly programmes to Sub contractors to meet the master programme. Production and management of Traffic management plan on site. Contractor management and ensuring they are booked in and attend as per programme. Ensure highest standards of construction are accepted from the contractors. Identify opportunities to build in the most efficient way. Responsible for communicating with neighbours and maintaining a professional relationship, ensuring early communication on matters that directly affect them. Qualifications, Experience & Skills
