Main contractor seeking an experienced Senior Site Manager to oversee a 50M assisted living build near Cambridge. This is a fantastic opportunity for a confident site manager who can lead subcontractors across a range of packages, through to handover of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and manage all on-site activities to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Act as the primary site lead in the absence of the Project Manager, ensuring seamless project progression.
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and act as a key point of contact for the client, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns.
Direct, mentor, and support the site team, ensuring all work complies with construction, contractual, and regulatory requirements.
Effectively manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring they adhere to site safety and quality standards.
Manage day-to-day site operations, identifying and resolving issues promptly to avoid delays.
Contribute to process improvements, reducing turnaround times and enhancing project efficiency.
Prepare and deliver progress reports, analyse project data, and address any problem areas proactively.
Foster strong relationships with all stakeholders to ensure project success.
Qualifications & Experience
Background in trades with additional qualifications in construction or site management.
Experience in managing similar projects to completion.
SMSTS, First Aid, and CSCS Card required.
Proven ability to lead a site team and manage a project independently in the absence of the Project Manager.
Strong understanding of health & safety policies and procedures.
Proficient in MS Office, MS Project/Powerproject, and other relevant software.
