Senior Social Media Manager

About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to become part of the client's studio pioneering social first change in our Homecare category. You’ll be the calm and reliable voice with a track record in social media driving content and conversation for some of the biggest FMGC brands. This opportunity is perfect for a talented and experienced individual who can translate brand personality into conversations on social media, understands how to best leverage social’s unique strengths, and sees the bigger picture for a brand’s presence online.

What You Will Be Doing

Focusing on one or two brands within the category; Content Creation, Listening and Engagement

Monitor feeds for relevant opportunities to inject the brand into culture Spot new influencers and advocacy opportunities Track trending topics Write copy for organic posts Listen and respond to relevant consumer comments and questions Provide on-brand responses to influencer and consumer @mentions Work with your brand team to develop frameworks to consistently gift and surprise and delight your community Manage and nurture a network of brand advocates, identifying key engagement opportunities in organic planning Champion platform best practice across all content developed for your brand – ensuring content is platform native

Planning and client partnership

Receive and interrogate briefs from brands and lead/support in brief development to creative teams and other partners Be your client’s trusted contact and advisor on all things social – sometimes troubleshooting on WhatsApp or even feeding into broader campaign plans Craft and champion Tone of Voice guidance for FAQ and copy for brand’s social channels Lead/support development of Community Engagement and Social Channel strategy workstreams Plan and create social content calendars and content production (video, stills, etc. for social channels) Present content ideas and brand social strategy to clients

Personnel Management

Review work from more junior members of the team, providing actionable and concise feedback to improve standard of output as well as educate the wider team Train and mentor more junior members of the team, potentially as a Line Manager but if not through collaborative working across projects Set clear, measurable expectations and goals for projects as well as for the personal development of potential line reports

You will be open and willing to attend sustainability training relevant to your role and soak up recommended research and reading about sustainability issues

What You Need To Be Great In This Role

This role is best suited to someone with 4-5 years’ experience working in social media or community management agency side. Level-headed, strategic thinker A well-rounded creative individual who is always innovating, initiating, and creating Be responsive to cultural zeitgeist which provides an opportunity to tell our brand’s story Entrepreneurial and proactive - ability to spot opportunities to create content and help clients achieve their business ambitions Creative flair and excellent written communication skills and great copywriting You’re excited about the integration of Gen AI tools and approach new innovations with energy and curiosity Keen interest in digital trends and popular culture Works well under pressure Nuanced and thorough knowledge of social platforms – and how brands can best leverage them to achieve commercial results WHAT EXPERIENCE WILL HELP YOU BE SUCCESSFUL Work in FMCG or food or beauty or homecare brands Stakeholder management, including internal, cross-department, clients Evidence of gravitas with previous clients Excellent written communication skills Work with a social media management tool (e.g. Sprinklr, Hootsuite, Sprout Social, etc.) Understanding of paid media and the role of influencers and content creators Previous experience working exposed to strategy and client-management roles You can be the change - you prioritise environmental responsibility, social equity, and economic viability and how that translates into your day-to-day role
