Main duties: Assist and participate in the management of the Duty service and act as Duty Senior. Undertake the safeguarding Adult Manager role and role of enquiry officer as defined in the Pan London Safeguarding Procedures. Undertake strength-based assessments for adults and their carers. Offer support and advice as appropriate to Adults and their Carers. Initiate and co-ordinate support plans for and with Adults and their Carers, in conjunction with professional colleagues and representatives of voluntary and private agencies. As necessary, ensure that work is allocated, transferred, or concluded, in accordance with procedures. Develop and support self and staff learning. Monitor and review the needs and support plans of adults and their carers. Maintain client records in accordance with Council Policy and professional standards. Respond to and where possible resolve complaints in line with Council’s complaints procedure. Work across different teams within the Division as and when needed. Ensure Adults and Carers are able to represent their views and opinions by providing advocacy, communicators, or translators when appropriate. Participate in multi-disciplinary and inter-agency meetings and working groups and represent the Department as required. Undertake any other duties commensurate with the level of the post, as required to ensure the efficient and effective running of the Department/Section. Requirements of this Senior Social Worker role: A professional Social Work qualification or equivalent. Understanding of relevant legislation. Registered or eligible for registration.
