Full-time About the Role: Hackney's Looked After Children's Service is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the best outcomes for children and young people in care. You will be responsible for managing complex cases, providing guidance and support to less experienced staff, and ensuring that the needs of children and young people are met in line with statutory requirements. Key Responsibilities: Manage a caseload of complex cases, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Conduct assessments, develop care plans, and review cases regularly to ensure the needs of children and young people are being met.
Work collaboratively with children, families, carers, and other professionals to secure positive outcomes.
Provide expert advice and support to colleagues, contributing to the development of best practices within the team.
Prepare reports for court proceedings and represent the service in legal settings as required.
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
Participate in team meetings, supervision, and training to continually improve service delivery.
