We are seeking a skilled developer to join our IBM MQ Software development team. As part of our team, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining high-quality software, working with a variety of technologies and programming languages. The role requires a good level of personal organisation and the ability to work well within a distributed global team in a fast paced and exciting environment. The MQ team employs agile development practices with all team members actively engaged in the planning, development, testing and usability related tasks owned and delivered by their 'Delivery Team'. Preferred candidates will be enthusiastic, highly motivated team players who have software skills/experience and demonstrate a genuine desire and aptitude to perform the multi-disciplinary activities inherent in a Software Engineering role. The work performed will have a high degree of technical content, is diverse and challenging yet always rewarding. Your Role and Responsibilities

Successful candidates will have strong coding skills and a desire to learn full stack development, including but not limited to Feature Development, Testing and Customer Support. Candidates should also be comfortable working as part of a global team and possess good verbal & written communication skills. A successful individual for this role should possess: A passion for designing and implementing high quality code. Strong analytical and problem solving expertise. Ability to take ownership of tasks, proactively driving them to their completion. Please note - This position requires working onsite a minimum of 3 days per week at our Hursley location. Required Education

Bachelor's Degree Required Technical and Professional Expertise

5 years experience in software development. Good skills in C/C++, Java & Ansible. Knowledge in Shell Scripting, Perl or Python. Good working knowledge of Linux and Windows platforms. Ability to pick up product and technical skills quickly. Passion to develop code, solve complex engineering problems and help customers. Preferred Technical and Professional Experience

Exposure to development / diagnostic tools and processes (Eclipse, git, GDB, Visual Studio, Windbg, Wireshark). Exposure to agile development methodologies and tools (git / Salesforce). Exposure to DevOps development will be a plus. About Business Unit
