The Role Reporting to the Software Engineering Manager in our Fanduel Trading Solutions team, you will take a defined design and turn it into code, applying appropriate technologies and current software engineering best practices. You will write secure, stable, testable, and maintainable code with minimal defects and will participate in team design, scoping, and prioritization discussions. This is a pure Back End role. Key Responsibilities: Hands-on design, develop and maintain low latency APIs and building microservices architecture Write and improve on existing suite of unit and integration tests Own the components you build through to production and provide post go-live support Facilitate development and growth of junior engineers through mentoring and hiring Essential Technical Skills: NET Core and C# with IoC / DI Unit testing & mocking frameworks (nunit, Moq, NSubstitute or similar) Event driven architecture, messaging, and event bus platforms (Kafka, RabbitMQ, AWS Event Bridge or similar) Distributed caching (Redis, Memcached or similar) CI / CD - Continuous Delivery (GitHub Actions, Octopus, Jenkins or similar) Building scalable and self-healing infrastructure in cloud Solid understanding of multi-threading and low-latency programming techniques Experience in producing high quality code utilizing practices like TDD, BDD The Perks We work hard and play hard, so along with a competitive salary and generous performance-based bonus, here’s some of our other perks: 25 days annual leave Genuine flexible and remote working policy with a $850 work from home office allowance Tailored career development programs Discounted gym memberships, free breakfast, loads of event and conference tickets Access to our Employee Assistance Program and a Circle In membership Industry leading Parental Leave support program with 26 weeks paid leave for Primary Carers and no wait time We also have a progressive return to work benefit for your first 6 months back: come back for 3 days, get paid for 4; come back for 4 days, get paid for 5 We encourage you to apply as soon as possible as we review candidates within 2-3 weeks of advertising.
