We're on a mission to build the industry's most intuitive and comprehensive business payments platform that serves all its stakeholders, from founders and CEOs to their finance teams and accountants, through a seamless experience. Qualifications What we expect from you: A strong product mindset and passion for customer experience, prioritising work with the customers in mind, and making data-driven decisions to address their pain points. Great communication skills and the ability to articulate complex, technical concepts to a non-technical audience. Reliability in delivering autonomously, taking responsibility and end-to-end ownership of projects to ensure we deliver on our goals without compromising on quality. Solid experience with Java or Kotlin, Spring framework, and any messaging system like Kafka. Experience working with BFFs and microservices, distributed and concurrent systems, and designing interactions between them via RESTful APIs and asynchronous messaging, with scalability, maintainability, concurrency, and fault tolerance in mind. Experience working with relational and non-relational databases, query optimisation, and designing schemas. Some experience working with modern frontend frameworks like React (and TypeScript) - ability to read, understand, and review frontend code, and an understanding of what a good UX/UI looks like. A bit more about you: You enjoy collaborating with others and bringing people together to solve problems. You’re passionate about helping others, keen to roll up your sleeves, and take ownership to drive impact across teams. You mentor and coach others around you, fostering their professional development and raising the bar overall. You believe in and follow best practices in designing, documenting, coding, and testing, participate in code reviews, and regularly share and embrace feedback. You take pride in the quality and testability of your code. You’re excited to work in a dynamic, fast-growing, and fun environment. You empathise with and are just as passionate about our mission!
