Our client is looking for a Software Engineer focused on Data / ML Platform.
Requirements:
Productionizing the algorithms invented by our ML team by designing and implementing systems that perform data ingestion, data processing, ML training, and ML inference.
Optimizing code for speed, scalability, security, and reliability.
Ideating and prototyping novel product features enabled by our research.
Collaborating with our data scientists and machine learning engineers to integrate feedback.
Technologies:
Python, Polars, Arrow, Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn. Candidate requirements:
1 - 10 years of experience in software engineering & data platform architecture and engineering. We just want really bright engineers, and believe they can learn any new tech stack in a week. Nice to Have:
Several years of cross-team initiatives in a platform or infrastructure-focused environment. You should have led impactful technical initiatives where first-order concerns include performance, data security, cost efficiency, ease of use, and operability. Multiple years of experience running production code and models in cloud environments. You should be comfortable with the unique challenges of running large software systems at scale. Previous experience working at top startups or top-tier tech companies. Able to mentor and coach other engineers, but eager to primarily work as an individual contributor. Strong direct hands-on coding and development experience. Strong AWS development experience. Not "just" setting up infra, but also writing apps/services using the infra. Compensation:
$150k - $250k base + equity + benefits.
