A small, but world class technical consultancy based in Surrey, is looking for a senior software developer to join their select team in developing effective technology solutions for UK government clients.
Candidates will be able to show evidence of extensive experience in C++ / Java software development, with exposure to large codebases managed by source control systems such as Subversion or Git. You will have developed and maintained complex real-world systems, and understand the importance of clear, efficient, and well documented software design. Familiarity with using and configuring Linux systems is highly desirable, together with user interface development in Java or HTML/JavaScript technologies.
Successful candidates will also have the knowledge and experience to mentor more junior members of the team and will be happy to drive the direction of new projects, taking responsibility for ensuring their success. An important aspect of this will be nurturing relationships with clients and clearly communicating progress through written reports and presentations.
Please note, candidates will need to be able to obtain high levels of security clearance due to the sensitive nature of some of the work undertaken by our client. This role is therefore only open to UK nationals who are able to meet relevant security criteria.
