The engineering team at Chainalysis is inspired by solving the hardest technical challenges and creating products that build trust in cryptocurrencies. We’re a global organization with teams in Denmark, UK, Canada, and the USA who thrive on the challenging work we do and doing it with other exceptionally talented teammates. Our industry changes every day, and our job is to create user-facing products supported by a flexible and scalable data platform allowing us to adapt to those rapid changes and bring value to our customers. We are building

for blockchain, cryptocurrency, and web3. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer (full stack/backend) for our Risk and Compliance group who will be critical to our mission and will be building and scaling the APIs and data layers our customers rely on every day to stop crime, understand risk, and strategize about their business. Our engineers deeply understand what is possible with cloud-native technologies and use those insights to enable our customers to push the boundaries of the cryptocurrency landscape. The Compliance organization is focused on growing the crypto ecosystem by simplifying the work needed for compliance and risk management at a massive scale. Our goal is to ensure developers can send data for any crypto asset and network, scale our systems to make sure we can handle the increasing volumes of data, and provide meaningful insights to our customers. You will be working alongside infrastructure and security-focused engineers, who help make our services highly available and safe for our customers to use for their most sensitive and real-time blockchain workflows. In this job, you'll:

Build a high-availability, scalable API leveraging the most relevant services from AWS. Add features to our product suite that detect activities for market manipulation, fraud, behavioral patterning, and more. Build cloud-native data ingestion and aggregation processes that intake terabytes of data per day. Help modernize our current tech stack into a streaming architecture. Set up local team services that are easy to install and simple to understand production health monitoring. Debug production issues and participate in a blameless post-mortem process to make the systems stronger. We’re looking for candidates who have:

Designed and implemented microservices-based systems in a major cloud provider like AWS or GCP. Experience with object-oriented programming languages. We mostly use Java but appreciate a variety of languages! A bias to ship and iterate alongside product management and design partners. Exposure to or interest in the cryptocurrency technology ecosystem. Experience in developing and maintaining streaming applications. Technologies we use:

Java Spring Postgres Kafka Kubernetes Apache Flink Apache Spark Terraform AWS RESTful APIs About Chainalysis
