Job Description Summary:
As a Senior Software Engineer for the Braintree Engineering Team, you'll play a pivotal role in enhancing and optimizing the merchant onboarding process. Your expertise will be instrumental in streamlining how new merchants integrate with Braintree’s payment platform, reducing time to market, and elevating the overall merchant experience.
In this role, you’ll lead initiatives to build and maintain robust, production-grade systems, leveraging your deep technical skills to solve complex problems and drive improvements. You'll collaborate closely with fellow engineers and other stakeholders, guiding projects from inception through to deployment.
Your leadership and technical acumen will support Braintree’s mission to deliver seamless and secure payment solutions. You'll also have opportunities to mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of continuous learning and innovation.

Build and manage distributed systems on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and use infrastructure as code tools like Terraform and CloudFormation. Data Management:
Apply advanced skills in SQL, ETLs, and data analysis with MySQL, Postgres, Redshift, or similar databases. Collaboration:

4+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong background in designing and operating large-scale systems. Technical Skills:
Deep experience with Python, Java, Ruby, Golang, JavaScript, or shell scripting. Strong Linux skills and understanding of operating systems. Cloud Platforms:
Experience with building and maintaining distributed systems on AWS, Azure, or GCP. API and Data Management:
