An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced, dynamic and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our Neuro-Oncology Team at South Tees Foundation Trust. The post holder will be expected to have experience at managing patients with neurological conditions. The post holder will be required to have relevant post graduate study, ideally at Masters level. The post holder will be required to demonstrate advanced specialist skills and knowledge in the assessment and treatment of patients with neurological conditions. The Occupational Therapy Service is a well-established large, progressive and dynamic service, which continues to develop within the Trust. The team is friendly and supportive and mentorship for this role will be available from other clinicians, the AHP Service Lead and from the Head of Occupational Therapy. This post offers development in clinical and leadership skills and the post holder will be supported to attend relevant post graduate courses. We have an established and comprehensive training programme and our staff are encouraged and supported in their CPD through workshops, clinical supervision and the appraisal process. There is also an expectation to actively participate in audit and research. Main duties of the job

The post holder will be part of a specialist multidisciplinary team involved in the care of patients with neuro-oncology conditions and will be employed as a Senior Specialist to lead in the provision and development of occupational therapy services for patients with neuro-oncology conditions, providing clinical expertise at a local and regional level. The post holder will provide clinical assessment and support with the rehabilitation both acutely and in the community of neuro-oncology patients. They will lead clinical developments and research opportunities to proactively move neuro-oncology rehabilitation Services forward to the benefit of patients and staff within the Trust and at a regional network level. Qualifications

BSc or Diploma in Occupational Therapy HCPC registration Completed or willing to work towards a post graduate course at masters level KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

Occupational Therapy management of complex clients in Neuro-oncology Audit and Research experience Excellent teaching and supervisory skills Theoretical knowledge and applied clinical practice in specialist area Demonstrates extensive knowledge and experience within specialist area Evidence of taking a lead role in MDT working Evidence of MDT teaching PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

Ability to work under their own initiative Ability to work as a team player Disclosure and Barring Service Check
