Lead a team of Analog Design engineers responsible for developing complex mixed-signal products, focusing on sensor interfaces, data converters, and signal-processing ICs using advanced process nodes and power-efficient techniques. As an Analog Lead, contribute to every phase of the design process, from specification and architecture to transistor-level design, simulation, modeling, layout supervision, verification, and final product delivery. Provide strong leadership, conduct design reviews, and mentor junior engineers to drive successful project outcomes. Work closely with cross-functional teams from pre-silicon (digital design, verification, physical design, custom layout, system, and modeling) to post-silicon (validation, product testing, and quality assurance) functions to ensure successful project outcomes and smooth transition to mass production. Required Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with in-depth knowledge of analog and mixed-signal design. Experience leading analog design teams and taking products from concept to mass production. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, excellent organizational skills, and strong communication skills. Preferred Skills and Qualifications:
Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering. Hands-on design experience of key analog building blocks such as reference generators, voltage regulators/converters, amplifiers, oscillators, ADC/DACs, and signal conditioning analog front ends. Comprehensive understanding of CMOS process technologies and Analog/mixed-signal design methodologies. Familiarity with discrete-time and continuous-time signal processing, and knowledge of sensor interfaces, wearable health technologies, or automotive-grade standards. Knowledge of design for testing and manufacturing, reliability design guidelines, ESD protection, and latch-up testing. Understanding of board-level considerations, including component selection, PCB layout, packaging technologies, and thermal analysis. Experience with high-volume manufacturing processes. This position is based in our Edinburgh office. It is a hybrid role with the flexibility to work from home, depending on business needs. Candidates must live within a commutable distance or be willing to relocate. At Cirrus Logic, we believe that diversity drives innovation, and we are committed to encouraging an open and collaborative culture where different approaches, ideas, and points of view are respected and valued. We aim to promote a workplace where everyone can contribute irrespective of race, colour, national origin, religion or belief, gender or gender identity, sexual orientation, age, marital status, pregnancy status, or disability.
