An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, highly motivated Band 6 Nurse to work on Ward 124 within a busy Renal Department. The ward comprises of 28 beds which include 2 higher monitoring beds and 4 Assessment trolleys. The team is cohesive and professional with a genuine interest and passion for providing a high standard of patient care. Strong leadership potential is a desirable quality, as is the ability to delegate effectively. Key Responsibilities:

The Post holder will be responsible for the assessment of the needs, development of programmes of care, and for the implementation and evaluation of these programmes for patients and their relatives. To provide a high standard of clinical nursing within the ward/department. To manage a group of patients. To take charge of the ward when rostered and assessed as competent to take on the roles and responsibilities of leadership and supervision. To act as a role model to Students and Clinical Support Workers. To present a positive, professional image of the organisation and of the nursing team. Essential Criteria:

Registered Nurse with a minimum of 2 years experience. Experience with Haemodialysis/Peritoneal Dialysis. Desirable:

Student Assessor. Leadership qualities.
