Key accountabilities Understanding constraints and opportunities commercially and technically on land interests The promotion of sites through the planning process with a view to securing allocations of land for housing Manage planning negotiations, including all representations, planning applications, S.106 agreements, planning appeals etc as necessary in respect of existing portfolio. Understand and negotiate legal agreements such as landowners, consortium, s.106 etc agreements. Draft business plans for each individual asset/JV, with key aims and milestone dates established. Reporting on all assets as and when required including management of all capital expenditure in line with agreed budgets. Setting of clear scopes and the appointment of external consultants, negotiating fees and securing consultancy services that add value Liaison with landowners over progress on site promotion to establish positive relationships Responsibility for the renewal/extension of options Working to resolve title and contractual issues on land The monitoring of Local Plan documents, housing land supply and competitor activity Community engagement on site promotions and planning applications Experience, Qualifications, Technical Requirements
Degree qualification in a relevant subject or where transferable skills can be demonstrated RICS or RTPI accreditation Previous successful experience in land acquisition process in housebuilding industry Knowledge of planning policy and process Commitment to a progressive career Full driving licence Inclusivity Statement
