The Opportunity Clarion Events is undergoing an incredibly exciting period of transformation and change - we recognise the need to become more data-driven in everything we do and have big ambitions to diversify our revenue model and launch new digital products and experiences that delight our audiences. Clarion Digital Media was created as a sub-division in 2023 to support this mission. Our remit is to identify and launch new digital media, membership and subscription offerings that will future proof the business and transform our offline model. We are seeking an experienced Senior Strategy Manager to join our Strategy & Transformation team on this journey. Reporting into the Director, you will lead on defining our future digital business model and play a pivotal role in developing our 5-year growth plan across the 11 verticals we currently operate in, including Defence, Gaming, Energy, Retail & Home, Technology, Electronics, Enthusiast, Digital Marketing, Fashion, Life Sciences and Public Safety. The ideal candidate will be someone who is enthusiastic, ambitious and a strategic thinker. You will bring your own ideas to the business - helping to shape the experience of our customers as part of a forward-thinking team. Key Responsibilities: Growth Strategy & Strategic Planning

Identify and evaluate new business opportunities across each of our portfolios, based on an assessment of market trends, the competitor landscape and consumer demand for digital product. Conduct financial modelling to project potential revenue and profit attached to various strategic initiatives. Support with the development of Clarion Digital Media’s 3-year strategic plan, ensuring that we are focusing efforts on the most impactful growth initiatives. Manage the strategic roadmap and articulate key priorities for the year. Identify potential strategic partnerships, acquisitions, and market entry strategies to help accelerate our growth plan. Provide strategic recommendations and business cases to senior management to unlock additional investment as necessary, effectively communicating the value proposition and potential outcomes.

Market Analysis and Competitive Benchmarking

Conduct market research to stay updated on digital trends, emerging technologies, regulatory changes and market dynamics that may impact the company’s commercial strategies. Track the competitive landscape, sharing news on market moves & their implications for Clarion. Conduct benchmarking to compare our capabilities with industry best practices and competitive benchmarks to identify areas for development.

Stakeholder Management

Collate information and distil data into clear insights and compelling communications for senior stakeholders to inform data-driven decision making. Present senior management with regular updates on progress of key strategic initiatives, and ensure risks and issues are surfaced in a timely manner. Prepare for key strategy days (Board, ELT, Division) with agenda, meeting design, materials consolidation, quality control, involvement of key stakeholders, logistics and execution.

Requirements Knowledge, Skills & Behaviours: Experience in commercial strategy or strategy consulting. Experience in digital media, strategic planning and/or tech preferred. Strong analytical and quantitative skills with the ability to gather, analyse, and interpret data and information to develop actionable insights and recommendations. Proactive approach with the ability to ‘opportunity spot’ without always being directed. Natural ability to solve problems and think creatively. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including ability to synthesize information and articulate complex ideas clearly and effectively to diverse audiences. Strong organisational and planning skills, with proven ability to work independently. Ability to adjust to multiple tasks and demands and constantly shifting priorities under tight deadlines and time constraints. Ability to work across different levels of the business to drive projects forward and to problem solve. Ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across levels and across the business. High attention to detail.
