Senior Stress Engineer
- 40,000 to 60,000 + benefits Location: Kidderminster
I am hiring for an experienced Stress Engineer who will be a crucial part in the development of all the phases in the project lifecycle. You would be focusing on Linear/Non Linear static analysis and will be conducting Finite Element Analysis utilising Abaqus.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) on rocket motor hardware and propellant charges. Use software tools including Abaqus, Altair-Hyperworks, Fortran, and Matlab. Develop and assess structural test plans. Act as the structural technical authority for multiple projects. Support customer meetings, design reviews, and certification processes.
Requirements: Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Structural Engineering, or a related field. Proficiency in Abaqus FEA Software and Microsoft Office. Strong knowledge of material science (composites, viscoelastic materials, adhesives). Experience with CAD modelling and Altair-Hyperworks (advantageous).
