Working Pattern: Permanent / Full Time As the Senior Structural Engineer, you will: Possess a strong knowledge of the offshore and onshore gas business but similar transferable industries skills will be also considered in lieu of specific O&G experience. Be technically competent in own discipline and actively maintain own competence according to standards and pursue continuous professional development. Liaise closely with other disciplines to ensure all equipment requirements are addressed in the design, specification of equipment, construction sequencing, and commissioning. Have experience participating in safety studies such as: HAZID and design safety reviews. Provide value-adding knowledge to constructability reviews and take consideration of layout restrictions, ergonomics, safety, utilities, and maintainability. Generate and check calculations against design code and best practice. Location: Aberdeen or Glasgow – hybrid working 3 days in the office with flexibility to work from home for 2 days. About You

You’ll have experience of: Producing and checking weight control reports. Performing studies, FEED, and detail design of structural fabrications in an EPC environment or client role is highly preferred. Working in a brownfield environment. Producing and checking structural arrangement drawings, structural detail drawings, installation sequence drawings and lifting arrangement drawings. Civils design preferred. Producing and checking structural calculations using STAAD. Primary and secondary structural designs. Designing lifting arrangements and development of installation routes. Producing and checking deliverables that conform to all applicable industry engineering codes and standards as well as the client’s policies and procedures relative to the equipment being specified. Sound knowledge of relevant commonly used codes therefore required. Coordinating and controlling vendor document submissions and reviews. IT Packages such as AutoCAD and Plant 3D would be an advantage, but not essential. Knowledge of Microsoft packages, STAAD and Mathcad is essential.
