Your Role: You will be joining a team of engineering and building surveyors. Reporting to the regional manager you will provide engineering advice on commercial and residential claims from notification to completion. This will involve diagnosing structural issues affecting buildings which will frequently be subsidence related, you will then prescribe the most suitable repair and mitigation measures required, ensuring work is carried out to the correct specifications. A team of field based surveyors will supervise the successful completion of works by appointed contractors.

Home Working/ Travel: The position is home based, and site visits are typically once or twice per week. You will be provided with all the necessary computer hardware and software and fully supported by the IT department.
About You: A consulting or contracting background within the building or civil engineering sectors. Knowledge of design or construction that includes survey/inspection work, ideally including existing structures. Knowledge of CDM regulations and the ability to recognise structural defects and prescribe mitigation methods. Good interpersonal skills and the ability to prepare clear, well written reports.
