Role Overview This role of Senior Structural Engineer has been created to support the consultancy's strategic expansion. As part of a highly skilled team, the successful candidate will take the lead on high-profile projects, collaborating with architects, contractors, and clients to deliver innovative and sustainable structural solutions. The position offers the opportunity to contribute to transformative designs, mentor junior staff, and make a lasting impact within a supportive and dynamic environment. Responsibilities: Take ownership of structural engineering designs, ensuring innovative, efficient, and sustainable solutions are delivered to meet client and project requirements. Oversee projects from concept through to completion, managing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful delivery. Work closely with architects, contractors, and other stakeholders to provide integrated design solutions while maintaining clear and effective communication. Provide guidance and support to junior engineers and technicians, fostering their professional development and maintaining high technical standards across the team. Conduct detailed reviews of designs and calculations, ensuring compliance with relevant codes, standards, and best practices. Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering, with a proven track record of working on diverse projects, including commercial and residential developments. Strong knowledge of structural design across various materials (steel, concrete, timber, masonry) and expertise in industry-standard software. Working towards or holding chartership with IStructE or ICE, demonstrating commitment to professional excellence. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively with clients, architects, and contractors, and lead collaborative discussions to achieve project goals.
