Would you like to work for an independent, award-winning Consultancy who can offer the opportunity to work on a wide range of significant projects in your local community? Our client is looking for a talented, enthusiastic and motivated Senior Engineer to join their team of Structural and Civil Engineering professionals in their Nottingham office. You will be working within a highly respected team on a wide range of high-profile, technically demanding and award-winning building projects in the Midlands. Their office is based in the centre of Nottingham and is delivering many of the largest and most high-profile projects in the region.

They are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their structures team and are well known locally for their work in the education sector, designing new teaching blocks and university buildings at an existing site to new build schools, their projects can range in value from 2-50+ million.

Day to day you will take the lead on projects, be able to work independently but also collaborate with the wider team when required this will include delegating work & mentoring junior engineers & Technicians. You will be coaching individuals one-to-one to help them achieve their development goals while supporting a team to work effectively and focus on their development and also be responsible for assisting in the management of a team of engineers and technicians of varying experience, including planning and managing resources, finances and quality control requirements.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Structural Engineer with over five years' experience, who is Chartered or near to becoming a Chartered Structural Engineer with experience of working on a mixed variety of developments with a number of materials.

You should have experience of using a range of analysis and design software which could include; Tekla Structural Designer, TEDDS, ETABS, SAFE (or equivalent) and be able to clearly articulate ideas, opinions and thoughts to engineers, architects, contractors and clients, many of whom may not have a technical background.
