An innovative, technology driven, Structural Engineering Consultancy that operates across the UK, specialising in Structural Inspections, Surveys and Design are looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to be the operational and technical lead for the design team out of their Sheffield office. They're looking for an experienced individual with extensive experience in structural design of buildings. They offer a variety of excellent work and lifestyle benefits, along with hybrid working options and a competitive salary of up to £60,000 DOE. The Senior Structural Engineer will be MIStructE or MICE preferred, but not essential. The design projects are diverse and interesting, ranging from small residential projects through to multi-storey RC framed buildings. Salary: Up to £55K DOE Pension 5% match 25 Days Holiday + BH Bonus Laptop / phone / IPad Health care membership, Home office equipment if needed Electric car scheme Training and Great career prospect Flexitime and Hybrid working (37.5 hours a week) Demonstrate a high level of technical quality and service delivery Provide exceptional customer service at all times To attend site inspections and site meetings Operational and technical lead for the design team, including design approvals, coaching, and mentoring Prepare structural design calculations across a range of market sectors including residential, educational, commercial, rail infrastructure and industrial Prepare design solutions in respect of building insurance claims, including fire, storm, explosion, flooding, and subsidence Deliver projects ranging from small residential properties, through to large commercial projects, ensuring commercial success, driving utilisation and profitability Assist with business development, to drive growth of the team including the development of the design team and providing progress reports Ensure adherence to contractual/Client SLA's and KPI's Several years' structural design experience will be required Knowledge of industry standard software A general understanding of structures and materials including steel, masonry, concrete and timber Understanding of sustainability and environmental impact of building structures, including a working knowledge of embodied carbon calculations A good knowledge of Health & Safety in respect of construction activities MICE or MIStructE chartered status, desirable not essential Bennett and Game Recruitment are a multi-disciplined technical recruitment agency based in Chichester, West Sussex operating across the UK with specialist teams covering a range of industries.
