Our client is seeking a skilled structural engineer to join their Structures team in Sheffield. In this role, you will collaborate closely with your team to create structural designs, analyse building structures, and play a key role in the successful delivery of projects from inception through to completion and beyond.

You'll deliver detailed, creative designs, drawings, specifications, and design guidance using 3D software, while producing high-quality written reports for both internal and external audiences, with a sharp focus on accuracy and meeting deadlines.

As part of a fully integrated multidisciplinary team, you'll have a great platform to present your ideas and solutions. You will also ensure health, safety, and sustainability are central to everything you do, working alongside architects, clients, and other design professionals to create efficient and integrated structural solutions. Additionally, you will have the chance to develop your leadership skills by supporting and supervising junior team members, providing learning input, and verifying their design calculations, drawings, and specifications.

Our client's mentoring programme will help you continue developing your skills and further hone your leadership capabilities, partnering with some of the most experienced engineers and business leaders in the industry.

Key Skills and Experience: A relevant civil or structural engineering degree Achieved chartership, or working towards becoming a chartered structural engineer A creative and innovative approach to structural design, with an eagerness to explore new techniques and ideas Strong understanding of the CDM Regulations and designer's responsibilities, with experience working to British Standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to both engineers and non-engineers Exceptional planning, organisational, and time management skills, with the ability to balance tasks and meet tight deadlines
