Senior Structural Engineer Wakefield £50k-£55k plus benefits This well-established and growing structural engineering practice based in Wakefield, offers innovative and sustainable engineering solutions across a range of sectors. They are currently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join an experienced team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled engineer who thrives in a dynamic environment and has the leadership abilities to manage multiple projects to successful completion. Role Overview: As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a critical role in leading and managing engineering projects, ensuring that all technical aspects are delivered to the highest standard. You will take ownership of projects, producing design calculations, drawings, and specifications, while liaising directly with clients and leading external meetings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong leadership and communication skills who is eager to work on a diverse range of projects and drive them through to completion. Key Responsibilities: Lead structural engineering projects across various sectors, ensuring successful delivery from initial design through to completion Produce structural design calculations, detailed drawings, and technical specifications in compliance with relevant standards Manage and mentor junior engineers, providing guidance and support for their professional development Represent the company at client and team meetings, effectively communicating technical solutions and project updates Collaborate with other professionals such as architects, contractors, and surveyors to ensure project success Oversee multiple projects simultaneously, maintaining quality standards and deadlines Identify and resolve design challenges, providing proactive solutions throughout the project lifecycle Key Requirements: Minimum of 5 years post-graduate experience in structural engineering, with experience across a range of sectors Excellent leadership and communication skills, both written and verbal Proven ability to manage multiple projects effectively, maintaining a strong focus on deadlines and quality Proficient in Tekla Structural Designer, MasterSeries, and/or Tedds (ideal) Strong experience in producing structural design calculations, drawings, and specifications Ability to deliver projects from initial design through to successful completion A degree in Structural Engineering or a related field Chartered or working towards Chartered status (ICE or IStructE) preferred On Offer: Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for career progression and professional development A collaborative, supportive, and dynamic work environment Flexible working arrangements to support a healthy work-life balance The chance to lead exciting, varied projects with a growing and forward-thinking company If you're a Senior Structural Engineer with the experience and leadership skills they are looking for, we'd love to hear from you!
