The Role: Parico is seeking a Senior Support Engineer who is smart, curious and prospers against the challenge of working closely with a small business to solve complex and challenging problems across the Public Sector landscape. You’ll have the freedom to be truly innovative, to roll up your sleeves, get stuck into the detail of systems, and generally do what it takes to achieve incredible technical solutions to our customer’s complex problems. In this role, you will own the asset management process. You will rapidly gain technical experience due to the team and project exposure, and be offered a great opportunity to advance your career within infrastructure. Successful candidates should have basic level knowledge of infrastructure to build upon. Responsibilities include: Writing procedural documentation including Plans, Process, Work Instructions Producing Asset reports Our Ideal Candidate: Excellent problem-solving skills and comfortable taking on new challenges. A proven track record for delivering large scale IT projects, with direct responsibility for designing and implementing highly available and resilient Wintel solutions including active-active failover for business continuity. Documentation experience, both in creating high and low-level technical design documentation. Configuring and administering backup and restore of Windows systems along with patching. Exemplary customer skills and communication skills Hold a UK Driving Licence and have a willingness to travel to client sites. Useful skills: Experience with configuring, administering, using JIRA Service Management for Asset Management Experience of working within mature ITIL environments Experience of working within MOD Keen attention to detail Able to convey information effectively to stakeholders at all levels both verbally and via slide decks Physically able, occasional requirement of lifting/moving heavy items Desirable Qualifications: Microsoft MCSE Qualification or similar What's in it for you?
