Senior Support Worker - Residential Childcare Location : Glossop Salary : £13.44 - £14.46 per hour (depending on experience) Hours : Full-time, 40 hours per week (including sleep-ins) About the Role Leader Health & Social Care is seeking an experienced, enthusiastic, and caring individual on behalf of our client to join a dedicated team committed to providing the highest level of support for young people. Key Responsibilities : Ensuring Safety and Well-being : Provide a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment, addressing the care, education, social, emotional, cultural, therapeutic, and health needs of each young person. Team Leadership : Lead, supervise, and support junior staff members to deliver consistent, high-quality care, in line with the Home's standards and Statement of Purpose. Operational Support : Assist the management team in adhering to policies, procedures, and record-keeping protocols, ensuring resources are used effectively. Shift Management : Cover various shifts, including early mornings, late evenings, and sleep-ins, and participate in residential trips as required. Liaison and Advocacy : Work closely with senior management, local authorities, schools, healthcare professionals, and other external parties to advocate for and promote the welfare of the young people. Cultural Promotion : Foster an inclusive workplace culture that values every team member's contribution and actively challenges discrimination. Confidentiality : Maintain the highest levels of confidentiality in all aspects of your work. What's on Offer : Competitive Pay : £13.44 - £14.46 per hour, plus £66 per sleep-in (typically 6 nights per month). Holidays : 30 - 35 days' holiday per year.
