Senior Residential Support Worker - Children’s Home Location: Godstone, Surrey Salary: GBP30,000.00 - GBP34,000.00 OTE per year (includes sleep-ins - circa GBP4,000 per year) I am looking for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a 5-bedded EBD Children’s Residential Home in Godstone, Surrey, which is rated as good by Ofsted. The service is home to children and young people with ADHD, ASD, trauma-related behaviours, and those who may have suffered from neglect and abuse in the past. The home provides in-house therapy for all residents and offers a high standard of learning and development for all staff. In this post, you will: Contribute to creating and sustaining a positive and nurturing environment in the home Lead, plan, and direct shifts, ensuring the effective deployment of staff Ensure that the young people’s needs are recognised and met Participate in the development, implementation, and monitoring of the individual young people’s care plans Write reports and attend professional meetings Organise and supervise recreational and leisure activities both in and out of the home; you must be prepared to spend time away from home on holidays and at camps, etc. Protect the young people from harm in and outside the home For this role, you must have: NVQ Level 3 Health and Social Care in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) A minimum of 2 years of experience working within an EBD residential children's home for 8-18 year old children A full UK Driving Licence The ability to work flexibly - hours of work are an average of 40 hours per week, rota-based, to meet the needs of the home.
