We are seeking a highly committed, proactive and professional Senior Support Worker to assist in the service delivery and co-ordination of a new specialist supported living service in Heysham. The service has been developed to meet the needs of people who have a learning disability and/or autism and complex needs, including mental health needs and behaviors which challenge. As a number of service users will have forensic histories, there will be a requirement for positive and robust risk management. Key Responsibilities
Assist the Registered Manager to ensure that the service meets all CQC standards and contract requirements. Ensure that the service works in a cohesive and coordinated manner, providing fully integrated care, support, and housing. Deliver personalized care and support according to agreed care plans, enabling service users to enjoy wellbeing, quality of life, and community connections. Promote and reinforce a culture of responsive, person-centered practice and active support across the service. Qualifications and Experience
Prior experience of supporting people with a learning disability and a forensic history and/or autism who have complex needs is essential. Prior experience of supervising a staff team is preferable; however, candidates with strong values, emotional intelligence, and good problem-solving skills will be considered. It is essential that you have the ability to work collaboratively to achieve positive outcomes. You will also have relevant experience in implementing PBS and positive risk management approaches. You must demonstrate excellent assessment, support planning, and report writing skills and be able to support the registered manager in achieving excellent CQC standards.
