About The Role Senior Support Worker

– Location: Maes-Y-Coed, Pembroke Dock – Full Time: 45.5 hours per week – Hourly Rate: £12.50 to £13.75. Are you looking for a new challenge and the opportunity for career development? We have an exciting opportunity in Pembroke Dock for an experienced Senior Support Worker to join our residential home in Maes-Y-Coed, where you will support individuals with complex needs associated with autism. You will assist in the day-to-day management of the home and help continue to improve the lives of the individuals we support. You will play a vital role in both the home and wider organisation, acting as a positive role model to both staff and our supported individuals. At Maes Y Coed, we support adults with complex needs associated with autism. We embrace sector-leading practice and blend education, care and therapeutic support to provide tailor-made placements for unique individuals. Our service is set in idyllic grounds and will support 5 individuals living in their own apartments, each with its own garden space and good access to local amenities, countryside, and beaches. A day in the life of a Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care involves: Acting as shift leader. Assisting in ensuring service scouring standards are maintained. Participating in the on-call rota. Assisting in reporting and evidence gathering activities. Working in partnership with internal and external stakeholders. Participating in assessment, development, and review of support and care plans. Promoting and celebrating home’s achievements. To be a successful Senior Support Worker with Orbis Education and Care, you'll need: Experience in a support environment. QCF level 3 qualified. Knowledge of statutory regulations. Ability to lead by example and always act as a positive role model. Ability to uphold company policies and standards. Able to understand and adhere to relevant safeguarding. Good awareness of conducting Health and Safety risk assessments.
