About the job Salary : £26,409- £27,711 Working Pattern : Full Time (37 hours) Monday - Friday Contract Length : Permanent Location : Glebelands, Shoreham About You To become a Senior Support Worker with us you will be: Passionate about supporting people to be the best they can be. page. About Glebelands We support people to achieve their personal aims and goals and provide a wide range of activities to help maintain and develop daily living skills. Glebelands has a range of facilities and areas to support activities, including: Accessible training kitchen, sensory/relaxation room, pottery studio (with its own kiln), art and crafts room, gardening rooms and greenhouse, computer suite, games and mobility area, and an accessible lounge for relaxation, music, and occasional karaoke. Key Skills

(These will be used as the shortlisting criteria): Able to interpret information, such as service complaints, and redirect them to the appropriate person for quick and accurate resolution. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to deal appropriately with expressive behaviour from the people we support and respond sensitively to their families and carers. Confident in building relationships with people from a wide variety of cultural, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. Enjoy working as part of a team completing shared tasks as required. Qualifications and Experience Basic literacy and numeracy skills to record and document activities in the provider plans. Basic understanding of the needs of the people we support and their rights as individuals. Demonstrable successful experience of working as part of a team. Knowledge of Health and Safety practice, First Aid, Fire procedure, and Manual Handling

- Desirable . NVQ 2/Diploma in Care or equivalent qualification

- Desirable . Previous experience of working in a care setting and with people who have a disability or are vulnerable

- Desirable . Previous experience of running group activities

- Desirable .
