Senior Semi-Independent Support Worker
to lead our support team. This pivotal role involves overseeing operational procedures, managing documentation, and representing our organization in professional settings. The ideal candidate will have a robust understanding of the legislative landscape surrounding semi-independent living and looked after children (LAC). Key Responsibilities: Team Management : Manage and delegate tasks within a small team, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality care and support. Documentation Oversight : Strategically manage and review operational documents completed by support workers, ensuring they are accurately filed and maintained within our organizational system in a timely manner. Professional Representation : Represent the organization in meetings with social workers, health professionals, and other stakeholders, advocating for the needs and rights of our residents. Legislative Compliance : Maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation, guidelines, and regulations relevant to semi-independent living and looked after children, ensuring compliance and best practices are adhered to. Crisis Management : Address and manage emergencies effectively within your remit, maintaining the initial safety and well-being of all residents. Qualifications: Education : LEVEL 3 in children and young people workforce
(or qualification Level 3 and above relating to children or young people) Experience : At least 3 years of experience in a support role for young adults or vulnerable populations, including 1 year in a leadership or supervisory capacity. Skills : Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills; proficient in managing documentation and compliance with legal standards; strong ability to work collaboratively in a team and with external agencies. Certifications : Relevant certifications such as First Aid, Safeguarding, etc.
