Our client
Our client is an industry leading provider of Structural Insurance with an international presence and a respected brand. They are now looking for a Senior Surveying Auditor to work around the Cambridge/Luton - South East area.
The Role
To provide Site Quality Audits, Award verifications and Technical Audits relating to the Inspection of sites in construction and Technical Manual Reports for DRS cases interfacing with the external end user and property Developer as required completing a comprehensive report in all cases which is then delivered to the respective parties depending on the type of report.
The Responsibilities Carrying out a comprehensive Site Audit, working closely with Developers and Builders to ensure workmanship and materials are in accordance with the Technical Manual and Building Regulations with initial assessment via a Desk Top review. Providing technical support and investigation/analysis to internal departments relating to issues raised by Homeowners in the first two years of their Warranty. Providing succinct accurate advice and reports to the claims department on the technical cause of claims. Effectively self-managing, by forward planning own workload, to provide a responsive, helpful and professional service. Recording Audit details on the database and communicating comments to customers. Carrying out Developer assessments and presenting this at regional offices if requested. Ongoing liaison with Surveyors and Management on technical matters. Ongoing liaison with Developers / Clients / Builders, offering technical advice and guidance. Carrying out tool box talks if required. Providing advice to line Manager on technical areas. Sharing knowledge within our organization on trends within the industry. Carrying out award verification marking as required. Supporting Key National and Regional teams with Technical Audits when requested. Undertaking any other duties as reasonably required. The Requirements
Full member/or associate of professional organisations with minimum grades accepted: MRICS / MCIOB / MCABE / MICWCI or similar. Relevant BC experience, plan check and site inspection and relevant warranty, quality or defect resolution experience. In-depth knowledge and understanding of the Building Regulations, associated legislation and construction standards. Basic understanding of general insurance principles and terminology. Ability to undertake site audits to assess both quality and the standards of all aspects of a Site Quality Review, SQR. Excellent communications and report writing skills. Commercial awareness and ability to work as part of a team. A demonstrable understanding of what an Audit entails. Ability to create good working relationships with other construction professionals. Ability to meet deadlines and manage own workload within agreed parameters. Demonstrable ability to use own initiative. Ability to motivate self and influence others. Excellent customer service skills and experience of relationship management. Flexible in personal approach. Working knowledge of MS Outlook, MS Word, and MS Excel.
