Senior Systems Engineer – HV Systems

to join our highly skilled and dynamic

Vehicle Electrification Team.

This role will report to the Engineering Manager – Powertrain Systems. The role will operate in a hybrid capacity out of our offices in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to work alongside some of the most visionary minds in the automotive field. As part of a high-performing engineering team, this role will focus on the requirements and delivery of the Forseven High Voltage System from both hardware and software perspectives (along with interfaces to other systems) over multiple programs delivering into multiple markets. What you will do: Responsible for the high voltage powertrain system within the vehicle as an entity, including full definition of the vehicle high voltage powertrain system requirements. Analyse, understand and define the key high voltage control strategies to be implemented in the vehicle, including high voltage energy management. Work at vehicle, system, and component levels on the delivery, execution, and support of validation plans. Align with the homologation team to understand and develop plans to ensure the vehicles can be delivered into multiple markets. Develop and take ownership of the High Voltage Powertrain System FMEA, supporting project engineers in the delivery of component DFMEA. Who you are: Significant experience in the delivery of high voltage electric powertrain systems within an automotive engineering environment. Experienced in the development of System FMEA and DFMEA. Experience of vehicle testing and analysis using measurement and calibration tools such as Vector CANalyzer and ETAS INCA. Demonstrable understanding of high voltage architectures and underlying principles and technologies including thermal management, high voltage safety, and control strategies. Possession of an Electronics, Control Systems, Automotive or similar honours engineering degree. Other recognised engineering qualifications combined with relevant significant experience will be considered. High Voltage training to Senior Authorised Person or IMI Level 4 preferred.
