Join us. As a SEA Senior Systems Engineer, you will take responsibility for the design, development, and support of our products. You will be required to progress the design, development, design proving, test, commissioning, and in-service support of the equipment as part of a multi-disciplined team. This work may involve sensitive information, so the applicant must be able to obtain security clearance. You will utilise state-of-the-art methods, technology, and tools to explore all aspects of the development lifecycle, engineering analysis, requirements analysis, design, implementation, test, build, and product support. There is a requirement to interface with customers (internal and external) on many factors within the design and liaise closely with Engineers from all disciplines: Systems, Software, Electrical, and Mechanical Engineering. The role will see the job holder joining a very successful engineering company, who have ambitious plans to develop new and technologically challenging markets across the world. The primary location of work will be Beckington near Frome. The job holder will be required to occasionally work at SEA's other locations and from customer and supplier sites, including overseas.

What you'll be doing

Manage the capture, analysis, traceability, configuration, and V&V of product requirements. Support business development and bidding activities through technical work package definition and related resource effort estimation. Coordinate and lead the delivery of engineering work packages. Define system architectures that will drive system design. Work with engineers from all disciplines to develop design specifications and supporting documentation using a traceable system engineering methodology. Carry out functional and non-functional system analyses. Lead system integration verification and validation activities and manage issue resolution. Coordinate directly with internal and external customers. Prepare documentation and presentation material to effectively communicate technical subject matter to audiences at working and senior management level. Plan and track progress of engineering assignments within agreed schedules, to quality standards and budget in accordance with project and company processes. Assist in the evaluation of new technology and methods. Provide technical expertise and support to the Business Development function including the generation of technical proposals and bids. Understand and implement the company environmental, health & safety policy by accepting individual responsibility and responsibility for those personnel under their authority, including others who may be affected by the company's activities.

The skills you need Extensive Knowledge and experience of working within Verification and Validation A good understanding of requirements capture and experience of using DOORS to manage requirements Excellent Communication skills Knowledge and understanding of using MBSE. Leading the delivery of work packages. Experience of UK MOD Maritime Weapons Equipment
