Senior Systems Engineer

you will make a positive contribution to the development and integration of complex military networking equipment, radio systems and associated software applications. As well as providing support to the current fielded system and its associated hardware and applications, the role will also allow the candidate to contribute to the specification, development and integration of new network node equipment, modern radio systems and the supporting tools and applications. The role is varied and offers an opportunity to work at various phases of product and system development, and therefore the successful candidate can expect to undertake tasks such as agreeing requirements, working with Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS, through to Acceptance Testing, Customer demonstration and Field Trials. Key Responsibilities:

An understanding of supporting and developing Tactical C4I Systems; possesses knowledge of the BCIP system. Understanding of commercial networking technologies and protocols. Understanding of radio communication and principles. An ability to create and follow detailed processes and test cases. Experience in product (hardware and software) and sub-system testing. Practical hands-on experience in lab and field-based military systems testing. Experienced in the use of one or more of the following engineering tools or equivalents: Hewlett-Packard Application Lifecycle Management (HP ALM), IBM DOORS, Microsoft Office tools, AutoIT. This role offers a starting salary of between £43,200 - £54,000 plus our excellent flexible benefits package. We offer hybrid working - for this role ideally we are looking for an average of 2 days per week per month on site in Oakdale, South Wales.
