Ref 77440 Vacancy title Senior Systems Engineer - Nuclear (Contract) Function(s) Engineering Contract type Full time contractor / consultant Region Scotland Location(s) Faslane Working with one of BakerHicks' key clients in the Nuclear sector, in a highly regulated environment subject to strict security and safety requirements, this client provides customers with engineering and project management services, as well as digital services and solutions to optimize the performance of complex infrastructure projects throughout their life cycle. You will join this client team as a Senior Systems Engineer, working onsite with their end client, supporting the upgrade and maintenance of facilities and future programs. You will work alongside a multi-disciplinary team to author, develop, assess, and maintain Engineering Design Substantiation documents for their facilities, ensuring compliance with safety and operational requirements. This role is a 12 month+ contract, requiring 3 days onsite at the end client facilities. Responsibilities Conduct requirement engineering activities. Facilitate requirement working groups and record changes. Analyse and prioritize requirements for clarity and feasibility. Collaborate with designers, architects, and stakeholders. Perform systems engineering modeling using MBSE tools. Develop and maintain system architecture models. Manage requirements management systems and ensure traceability. Foster communication with multidisciplinary teams. Present complex concepts to various audiences. Coordinate verification and validation plan development. Collaborate with testing teams on test procedures. Requirements Strong foundation in systems engineering practices. Proficiency in Model-Based Systems Engineering. Experience in requirements capture and management. Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Experience in managing requirements systems. Experience in developing verification and validation plans. Current/ existing SC clearance. Willing and able to travel to site 3x per week. The successful candidate must currently hold SC security clearance for this role as required by our client.
